Associate Professor Dr. Yusniza Kamarulzaman
Dr. Yusniza Kamarulzaman is an Associate Professor and also serves as Deputy Dean (Higher Degree) at the Faculty of Business and Accountancy, University of Malaya. She is the former Head of the Marketing Department and the Director of the UM Centre of Innovation and Commercialisation. She received her PhD in Marketing and Postgraduate Diploma in Research Methodology from Cardiff University, U.K in 2006, followed by Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship from Cambridge University in 2013. She holds an MBA (Marketing & Management) and BBA (Marketing). She started her academic career in 1996 and has served several locals and international higher education institutions throughout her academic journey. She was a Teaching Associate at Cardiff Business School, UK, from 2003 to 2006 and was a Visiting Scholar at the Western Michigan University, U.S. in 2013-2014. She is currently teaching Marketing Management, Retailing, Global Marketing, e-Marketing and Research Methodology for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes, as well as supervising PhD and Master students. She has produced a number of PhD graduates and more than 30 master graduates. She has published numerous articles, books and book chapters, monographs, and course modules in her area of expertise. Her books, Principles of Marketing, Marketing Management and Marketing for Hospitality and Tourisms published by Oxford University Press have been widely adopted by local higher learning institutions. Her primary research interests are Digital Marketing, Tourism Marketing, Branding and Retailing. She regularly serves as a scientific committee of several reputable International Conferences and also a reviewer for some international and local textbooks, journals and conference papers. She is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM), a member of the Academy Marketing Association, the Association for Consumer Research and Academy of Marketing.
